Meditation with a Purpose
How ‘Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself’ by Dr Joe Dispenza has turned me from skeptic to believer
I was a skeptic of Joe Dispenza based on my ignorance. I changed my mind when I read a sample of his book ‘Evolove Your Brain: The Science of Changing Your Mind.’
In this sample (I will read the whole book but this article deals with another of his books!) he tells how he cured himself from an accident and then studied at the ‘Ramtha School of Enlightenment.’
I was drawn to the title ‘Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself’ and when I saw it online on a short-term good price offer, I decided to keep an open mind and see what it was all about.
I have been meditating daily for around five years, and the practice has been life-changing. I am always looking for ways to deepen my practice and learn more about the brain.
This book does exactly that. The author gives a comprehensive and easy-to-follow account of how we are only 5% conscious and the other 95% is our subconscious mind running a set of programmes that we have gained throughout our lives from beliefs, things we were told, habits, and negative associations that occurred from events in our past.
